Remembering Billy

Cork N Crust was built on a simple idea: bring people together over great food, great wine, and good company. That vision came to life through the dedication and partnership of our founders, Deb and Billy Hill, along with sons Evan Hill and Stephen Hill.

Billy Hill was not only a co-founder of Cork N Crust, he was the heart of the restaurant and the spirit behind the welcoming atmosphere that so many guests have come to love. Alongside Deb, Billy helped create a neighborhood gathering place in Bellevue where friends, families, and community members could share a meal and feel at home.

Born in Spokane, Washington, Billy later made Northern Kentucky his home and proudly served in the United States Navy. Over the years he built a career in retail leadership before pursuing his dream of opening Cork N Crust with Deb. What began as an idea quickly became a family endeavor, with Billy working alongside his sons, brother, and extended family to build the restaurant into the place it is today.

Billy loved bringing people together. Whether it was around a table at Cork N Crust, cheering on the Reds or Bengals, traveling with family, or enjoying a great meal with friends, he valued the moments that created connection and lasting memories.

To those who knew him, Billy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, mentor, and friend. His passion for hospitality and his commitment to family shaped everything he did. The warmth and welcoming spirit that guests experience at Cork N Crust today are a direct reflection of the way Billy lived his life.

Billy passed away on March 6, 2025, after battling heart disease, leaving behind a loving family and a community that will always remember him.

His legacy lives on in every pizza shared, every glass raised, and every moment of connection created inside Cork N Crust.
